tired broke happiness
whilst gathering at sophies house last night howlback hum asked us to play a gig at the arts centre :) which made us all jump for joy and be very merry.
cricketers rest tonight will be good, just spent £50 on equipment..but its all for a good cause!
after a busy few weeks we are all sehr tired so im now going to the co-op to buy some pro-plus to get us in the mood...

broke
after spending all the money we have on recording at purple, we now find ourselves in a tight position with no money at all. so after sleepness nights we have realised that for our ep launch we are going to have to make a limited number of hand made ep covers before we can afford to get them professionally done, which is likely to be after christmas.
hopefully the cover will be a photograph taken by alexandra bone, who has impressed us with her live photos, and all we can do now is shop around for the best cd duplication price.
we have also been offered a gig in london at the departure bar, which looks good and nice, so we are trying to organise ourselves so that we can play the gig and spread the word :)
we still have the mixing and mastering to re-do on our eps because we feel that it could be better...so back to purple, and more money we must hand out!
a good drink we are in need of and at sophies on friday night we will celebrate our ep/drown our sorrows because we have no money. it wil be good oh yes it will.

roast dinner
i'm just sitting here while mike and nathan are eating a roast dinner and thought that it would a good time to get all updated
the gig on friday night was one of the worst we've ever done, so i'm not gonna talk about that...it's already forgotten..:)
recording at purple was the best..i would recommend that beastly place to anyone..and rich is a legend who made us laugh more than someone else who is funny...we will be re-mixing and mastering the Ep at the end of the week hopefully quick enough for the launch at the mustard lounge on the 7th. But other than these things that we need to sort out, the songs are soundng well good and we are looking forward to everyone hearing it...and hopefully buying it...mwah ha ha.
got a gig in york, cant rememer if i hav mentioned tht, but i will mention it now..so the brownies are expanding accross the country.
many gigs coming up is all good and we're hoping to improve on our live sound after the catastrophe of the marquee..we are in serious thinking mode aiming to get the best out of the band and its experience.
anyway, im boring myself..so until i have something more interesting to say..farewell xXx

a tough week it has been...
but recording tommorow and a gig at the marquee on friday will hopefully turn everything around :)

An update.....
this is just a small piece of information about the general direction of the band..
so...we are playing an acoustic gig tommorow night at spencers, its a pub on prince of wales, so that should be fun! hopefully it will go well and dandy cos we played at the hog in armour for Go Acoustic! and we were all surprised at the success of it after absolutely no practice..so yeh tommorrow should be good..
although we are all greatly anticipating this aforementioned acoustic gig tommorow night...the main focus of the week is on thursday and friday as we are recording at purple studios!! WAHOO thats right the little small time band the brownies recording at the legendary norwich recording studios with bands such as the pistolas ane le tetsuo recording there previously..
as well as this excitement, we also have a gig with bracko promotions on friday night at the mrquee. its our first gig with darren and its brackos opening night so that will definitely be a mahusive blast..then mike and nathan are off to alton towers on saturday for a day of fair ground fun....whilst i slave in the co-op for idle food money..
on a completely different note..we have changed the layout of our myspace and it looks good.
and although we are always optimistic and happy with the results that the band brings, this lately we have started to become angry at the fact that some aspects of the (norwich) music scene is a popularity contest and hardly about the music at all. as passionate local music lovers, we all find it a complete chore that these days things are not based on what you know, but who you know..
after that rant, i will leave on a good note..we have just booked a few bnds to play with us on our EP launch nite...and we are all anticipting the next few weeks with open arms!!
